Hi,

ive got a load of garden lights I'm putting in at the moment that's going to be on various configurations. Anyway, I want to link a couple of PIRs together and also link it to trigger some other lights too on another circuit.

enays the best way to do this? I need some kind of wirelessly linked modules that have a permenant and switched live probably.

You've not really been specific enough to get any decent responses. How big is the garden? How far apart are the PIR's - do you want the PIRs linked or to work independently? Do the devices all need to be IP rated?

Ordinarily you'd have all the garden lights on together, the idea being gardens are supposed to look nice so you'd light the whole lot up to be able to see the pretty flowers and that. In a house you might have them on a switch, in a commercial property you'd probably have them on a photocell and/or timeclock so they come on when it gets dark.

Sorry if that's not the answer you wanted.

Try light symphony. I've been really impressed with all their kit. So simple, all you need is mains supply (from any circuit) to each light and each receiver or controller (PIR/gate sensor etc) and then just a simple programming setup.
The remote control distance range is superb. Just kitted out a house/farm with a couple of grands worth of the stuff.

Basically I have four post lights that are currently n a photocell via a timer which then turns them off at midnight.

i am about to install about 8 spot lights around th garden pointing and trees and son on, these will also be on a timer and photocell.

however.. After midnight when it all switches off, I want various PIR sensors dotted around so that if I went into the garden, all the lights will come on, but not just them, I want the PIR o trigger some other lights too.

so.. What I need is a wireless transmitter and receiver that's tagged off the back of one of the PIR senses so that when it triggers it sends a message to the receiver and turns the other light on that its attached to.

How are all the lights connected & switched....?

Currently the garden lights are one one circuit, permenant live into photocell and top of din rail timer, that's then on from 4pm till midnight, the photocells switched live is one one side of the volt free contact on the timer which then turns the lights on.

the PIR that I'll put in tomorrow, again take permenant live to it, the switched live goes to the side of the timer that the light is connected to, but will only trigger after midnight as will be on a timer in line with the other one and obviously won't switch unless dark.

the other lights I want to trigger are my rear wall lights and flood light if possible, it would just be a pain to run a wire to it and put across a relay as they are on two more different circuits.

do I'm basically looking for either a way to remotely switch via a transmitter receiver arrangement or something else?

Just to add to this, I'd like to be able to trigger my lights when my house alarm goes off, so need to trigger it from that aswell, that's easy enough but it's back to this wireless module I haven't got.
