1, Non sheathed cables installed in trunking that is fixed on a brick wall has an installation method of.

2, On a farm a final circuit supplying socket-outlets rated above 32A must be protected by a:

Hi wagne...thanks for the answers....it took you that long....hii..hiii...well done mate..
it took me almost an hour....cos i just had the book and haven't got used to it....guess i have to crack down reading this book....i'm start the course the end of next month...

Ps: question 2,9 and 10...is the answer in the book or something you all ready new.
and i think Easyfox posted ques.4 by mistake..there is no section 771..!!

all from the book by the use of the contents list at the front and the index at the back,
the way you use the book hasnt changed just the content
i would have been quicker but the wife kept nagging me over something
some one else needs to tell me if im right or wrong

A few more for you to try.

(1) For circuits having a nominal voltage above 500v, the minimum insulation resistance is
a) 0.25Mohm
b) 0.5Mohm
c) 1Mohm
d) 5Mohm

(2) A final circuit supplying 13A socket outlets is to be used by ordinary persons. The circuit must be provided with.
a) protection by an rcd
b) a BS EN 60898 circuit breaker
c) additional protection in accordance with regulation 415.1
d) switched socket outlets

(3) where thermoplastic insulated & sheathed cables are installed in a plastered wall at a depth of 20mm & are not protected against mechanical damage they must be.
a) run in safe zones
b) protected by a 30mA rcd
c) coloured red
d) run in safe zones and protected by a 30mA rcd

(4) wher an rcd may be operated by an ordinary person, it shall be installed so that.
a) it is no more than 0.5 meters from floor level

d) any exposed conductive parts are out of reach

(5) where cable is surrounded by thermal insulation for 200mm of its length, the cable current carrying capacity must be de-rated by a factor of

(6) Busbar trunking systems must
a) meet the standards of BS EN 60438-2
b) be installed vertically
c) be installed according with manufacturers instructions taking account of external influences
d) be rated less than the rating of the circuit breaker protecting it.

(7) when rcd's are used to provide automatic disconnection in case of a fault the disconnection times given in table 41.1 relate to values of current
a) significantly higher than the rated residual operating current
b) five times the residual operating current
c) the residual operating current
d) equal to the prospective earth fault current

(8) which of the following is not considered by a designer when designing a substation.
a) quality of the earthing system
b) resistance of the earthing arrangement
