Both. Found myself taking a lot of pics of my exploits in the mountains, so signed up to a stock image agency and sell a few of 'em into magazines, books etc. Don't earn much from it & really should dedicate more time to it to rectify that.

Anyone that does photography for remuneration had better have:
A/ deep pockets
B/ professional indemnity insurance.
It’s no different to any other business, you mess it up you’d better be ready to pay out. I don’t think I’d like to pay out for some of the military or society weddings I’ve done.

I,ve done several weddings for friends and family plus one large gypsy wedding,got stuck with that when the pro bailed out,it all went well and everyone was happy.
