Hi I have a 2013 R56 and the warning light for an exterior bulb comes on each time I start the car (goes off after a few seconds usually) .When it first came on I found that a number plate bulb was out so replaced that but the warning kept coming on. I looked on the internet and found how to check the warning code (134) which is for the right rear brake light bulb. Although the light was working I changed that bulb and the left side but still the warning comes on.Its just been MOT'd and there are no other lights out. Any thoughts - I don;t want to take to the dealer as it could be expensive and its not that important just fairly irritating!

can't help here.my car repairing days are over. if it couldn't be fixed with a hammer, monkey wrench, or baling wire, it went to the M6 in the sky.

I wonder if the OP is referring to the position lamps? I've seen these circuits working normally only to find that the tungsten bulbs deteriorate and cause the circuits warning system to illuminate the instrument display lamp to tell the driver a bulb is failing.

Seems in most cases that is what people are like, just after a quick fix and can't be bothered to let us know if our help fixed their vehicles. Where would they be if we didn't bother advising them in the first place!
