Discuss Cable storage/racking for vans in the UK Electrical Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net

I've tried several ideas but nothing's ever perfect. I think partly because a full roll,of cable is so heavy and whatever solution it uses up so much space. I tried using rackatiers with metal conduit. Metal, conduit cut to size and stretched across the width of the van from my racking on each side. Neither was great so in the end I just dumped it all in a large supermarket delivery tub! Sod's law dictates that the roll of cable you want is always at the bottom!

stackable bread trays. acquired from local shop. easy to whip out when 'er indoors wants the van used to shift furniture etc.

Dave OCD had a tidy van.
It was his pride and joy,
But 2 Ton Tess, the farmer's wife,
She had an evil ploy.
For being spurned,
Her mind had turned,
She had her wicked way.
She filled his van with evil turds.
wrapped up in a bale of hay.
