Looking to upgrade the decade old, cheap labelling machine to something that can professionally label consumer units. I'm becoming increasingly annoyed by the sticker packs that come supplied with new consumer units!

Have seen this one on offer at screwfix. Seems like a very good price. Anyone tried/own one? I presume I can easily set it up to print whatever configuration I need for a new install and print a single label to do all the circuits on a CU?

Cheers

Just an observsation but the 300vp shown doesn't appear to do "Identification of one or more RCDs",Check out manual.

The better 500vp is Wireless, but I bet its cost wayy more, can't find an online price for it.

I have the E550WVP

It works very well with the app and I thoroughly recommend it.
I think City's can do a better deal than screwfix for this unit.

Dymo USB printer connected to PC at home and pre print labels at home.

Went to check a mates CSU and the cooker was labelled as Cocker, rolls eyes.....

I have the E550WVP and, like @stevethesparks I can highly recommend it.

Fantastic bit of kit. Can store labels for reuse that you built on the machine itself, but also labels designed on the PC and uploaded to it.

Had problems with the Android software, but once you get the hang of it, I'm not sure you'd need to use the software as things like board labels are simple enough.

I got mine in a kit with carry case and four tapes from TLC for the tidy sum of £115+VAT. Screwfix tried to price match, but couldn't get close to it.

Cheers. Will consider the 550, although it's currently 3x the price of the 300. Hopefully someone will have some experience of the 300.

Looks like I'll be checking the instructions for the 300 to see if it does what I want.

Hi there,

Just looking to update my printer aswell, was just wondering does this Brother PT-E550WVP need a cartridge or is laser printer?
Found it for 90£ inc vat online

Thanks

I found it a nightmare to use with the app, so its still in the box!

On my Moto G4 with the Android app it was a complete mare. It worked quite well with the iOS app on my iPad, but apart from designing a label on the PC (it includes graphics) and uploading it, I've not used the app at all. It's been easy enough to use the machine itself for everything I've needed (CU labelling, cable flags, safety labels, general labels).

£10 and a share in a wooly thing tied to a lamp post....... :p

What makes you think he hasn't got his own wooly thing..... as any respectable man would.....???

I hate coming on here, I have a labeller a Brother P Touch and a Dymo USB one but now have a hankering for another one, grrrrrrr I need help.
