I'm planning to install a U-Heat mat in a small en-suite. Never done one before. The thermostat will be on the adjacent bedroom wall. What is the recommended method of providing the live feed to the thermostat/on off switch unit? From a fused connection unit, switched fused connection unit or a spur off a nearby ring socket? The walls are studs and not yet plasterboarded in the en-suite. The ring is RCD protected at the Consumer Unit. tia

spur off rfc. fit a double pole SFCU so that in the event of a fault in the ufh, both poles can be isolated locally.

The work could be notifiable to lbc.
debateable. the heatingmat is under floor, so outside zones. as are the controls outside the room/

underfloor heating is notifiable irrespective of whether it's in a bathroom or not.
