What sort of main CU do you have? is it a relativley new one with 2 RCDs?I'm replacing an old MEM Fuse Board in my garage with a Small CU. The power was supplied from the ground floor ring main, so I've removed that and added a separate circuit in the main CU with its own RCBO. Problem is, the RCBO trips every time I turn something on and I can't understand why. Apart from the supply cable - main CU to new CU - the cabling is exactly the same as yesterday and was working so I can't understand why there's a problem. Help desperately needed as I have 3 freezers in the garage.
I trained as an Electrician with the RAF in 1975 and I've been doing it since.
Problem sorted. Everything up and running.
The old strip light. I had planned to replace it at some point in the future. Just had to bring the plan forward a bit.and what was the fault?
