It looks brand new, I assume it's just been bought so it should have paperwork supplied with it if sold in the EU market, I would go to the seller and request said paperwork which they must provide, I would also look on the back of the lid if you haven't already as sometimes it on there and easy to overlook if you put the lid to one side.

Pretty sure the live should be on the connection with the brass link, then to reverse the motor you would swap the links round and agian the L and Neutral would be on each link. Pretty standard single phase motor.

That earth is a bit rough, you might want to fit a crimping lug to it.

That motor looks like a rewind to me, the front and rear end caps are assembled skew and it looks like the info plate was masked off for painting.

Stupid question I know, did you check inside the lid for a diagram?

Unlikely you would rewind such a small motor it wouldn’t make sense, a new motor would be less than the cost of a rewind.

Not sure about costs of rewinds, where I am it would be a cheaper option especially with a pump where the motor shaft is a specific design to accomodate the impellors and a generic replacement IEC frame motor wouldn't be suitable. If that motor isn't a rewind job then it's very shoddy manufacture...

Was just going to add unless it has a specialised shaft.

Personally I think it’s brand new.

The OP spilled his yogurt on it, that's all :)

Need some feedback off @bigspark17 now before we can really comment further but agree with the rewind thoughts as the stuffing gland has a nice blue coat even though its a black thread on it.

I noted though a sticker just out of site on top of the shiny paint, it has a email and no' on it and looks like either where it was purchased or rewound at a guess.

Update for thoose intrested or for future searchers of the forum.

Got this diagram emailed from the company.

U1 live & w1 neutral

Well done to any1 who posted thoose terminals

By rewind do you mean refurbed motor? May explain the lack of info with the product..

Cheers for the feedback.. a motor gets rewound normally if the winding burn out or fault for various reasons, water inges is common on pumps, below a certain KW this is often more costly than buying new unless like mentioned, it's a special and thus becomes cost effective, it may have just had a service only, been a pump this is likely as it may have had a new seal and/or bearings it is not uncommon for seals to go especially if there is contaminants in the fluid been pumped (chemical or solid) for which the pump is not designed for or simply they have broken down with age.

It’s not in common for a motor to be assembles then painted, that’s why all the blanking plugs are covered in paint, to stop it filling the terminal box. Even a rewound motor would not have a terminal box looking as new as that.

The sticker is for the pump manufacturer.

Glad you got it sorted though bigspark, and came back to update us.
