Hi,

Looking on Ebay I can pick up a used inverter for a lot less than what the supplier is asking for a new different unit.
Do I need to inform the FiT people or the DNO. when the FiT paperwork was filled in it had the model and serial number of the inverter, which would be different if replaced.

I am not adding any more panels so the PV output should be the same just the inverter efficiency may be better or worse.

You are unable to register 2nd hand kit for FiT payments on a "new" install so if you ever got inspected,I suspect you could be up the proverbial creek and possibly having to repay any claimed payments.
