I've been asked to PAT a tortoise house. Basically a glorified rabbit hutch.
I've had a quick look at it, but i'm not keen on getting the tester out its box just yet.

The electrical part of it, built up by the builder(? assembler? erector?), is a 13A plugtop, white 3 core flex into an IP66 box mounted on the back of the house/hutch.
Inside this is a 2 channel heating programmer. From there, the flex goes inside to a 1 gang 13A socket, and a IP rated 600mm fluo fitting.
The controller times when the light and the socket are powered, individually.

The socket then feeds a shop bought light fitting with a 75W heat lamp in it. (2 core flex)

I've told the builder the socket would need to be IP rated as well, and change the main plugtop fuse to a 3A
Apart from that, wooden structure... nothing to earth.
