I'm sure there's a thread out there somewhere, but put a search in and can't find one.
Anyway, has Line Products gone under? Their website just says "No product available" again. A bit like the last time there were supply issues.

Anyway, any info/update appreciated.

Thanks

Tony

It sadly seems to be a recurring issue. It's a brilliant product and I use them, but that said it's all about that one product they have and it's been blighted for 2-3 years now with supply and quantity issues. It's one of the few things I order on the credit card (keeping the order over £100) and also count the quantity that is delivered as well.

Not got anything from them of late, but with the no stock showing I did contact them via email over a week ago asking when they would have them again - still no response sadly.

I've yet to find an alternative that's any good when it's for more than a couple of cables

Great product, shame somebody the supply lines are so unreliable. Be great to be able to get them from more than one source.

In the interest of keeping the info in one place I merged the thread you started about Line Products into this existing one.

Had sent them a couple of emails without any reply, so did that old fashioned thing and picked up the phone and rang them..."Sorry your call can't be connected"

Doesn't look good at all:(

As far as I can tell these were invented and designed by an electrician who then set up the business to sell them and it appears that the business did not go well, as so many do, and has now folded. I assume from the way in which things operated that the owner had been let down by their distributor when they were expanding and also that the process of production had problems that then caused the business to stop. Presumably after a recovery period the remaining stock were then sold off and once these were gone, that was it.

I never got the chance to try them but by all the accounts I saw from others the product was well designed well made and filled a niche requirement. I never saw any complaints about the product, the price, the quality or even the service until what I assume were the business problems manifesting themselves in lack of available supply. Farrel also seemed to have damn good prices on his Wago connectors as well. I agree it's a shame they're not being made any more, I can only wish him every success in whatever his new endeavours are.

I remember speaking to the man who designed the earth nut as we had been pulled up by the NICEIC for the making off of swa into IP adaptable boxes where we were nut bolt banjo etc., came across them on internet I suggested to him to contact P.E. magazine to maybe do write up good idea he said .Product was picked up be SWA terminations and the rest is history.

It's been a year since anyone posted in this thread. I assume the line MF boxes came to a final end?

Those MF eggs were a cracking bit of kit.

Ah man that's crappy news. I'm still hanging on to my last boxful of the line enclosures, but they are dwindling fast.
Farrel emailed me in March saying he was in talks with a large manufacturer/distributor. Sad this didn't come off.
