HI all. Visited forum many times but first post. Thanks for any help in advance. I'm replacing the 8 (currently) low voltage down lights in my bathroom with 5w 230v ip65 led ones as the old transformers have bitten the dust. My plan was to just replace the switched feed currently running to the transformers from the junction box in attic with a new feed to the first new led then just daisy chain them all together, looping in and out of each fitting. Does this sound OK? I'm effectively just replacing the cable to the transformers with cable to first led. I'm assuming all will need earth (low voltage currently doesnt) back to junction box and all using 1.5mm twin and earth.
Thanks again

Hi - another change will be that CPC will now be looped into each fitting. Some older installations they didn't bother taking the it out to the transformers. So you'll need some g/y spaghetti, and something to confirm if cpc is actually connected back :) .

If you have access to the JB then you'll have access to the switch line. You might like to consider changing the manual switch for something more exotic such as a PIR ceiling switch? .

LV doesn't require what exactly?

I noticed that, but as the OP is a newbie I thought that I wasn’t going to be pedantic today.
