    Why aren't ring circuits banned?

    Doing a lot of EICRs in London at the moment and I'd say every other C.U. has a ring circuit with no continuity on one of the conductors. Seeing as the IET see fit to tinker around the edges constantly with the regs, I struggle to understand why these potentially extremely dangerous circuits...

    I have read article in PE about next amendment and cable supports having to be fire resistance etc.does this mean plastic cable clips will not be allowed. Sorry if I have missed the point.

    socket safety guards

    hi, all. have heard that those plastic safety thingies you plug in have been banned as the "earth pin" can break off in the socket, leaving the shutters permanently open. , so i am advising my customers to bin them. anyone confirm whether or not they are actually banned?
