I'm going to be learning to interlock conveyors so that one cant start without the preceding one running. For safety purposes.
I'm working with a guy that does this all the time and we wont be doing this until next Saturday but he isn't the best at explaining stuff. He knows his stuff and is a...

Morning gents, Im trying to find a wiring diagram for a three pole (three phase) contactor, using a 24v coil. Ive found plenty with a 240/415v coil but none with a 24v coil. Im assuming theyre both very simular, only difference being you'd have to pick up your 24v from a different source instead...
hi
guys need to know the differnece between a module type contactor and normal contactor.

Hi. Im looking for the best advice for wiring an emergency stop circuit controlling a dis board via a contactor. This is a dis board feeding circuits in a workshop so the whole dis board must be de energised when the stop button is hit. The problem being the contactor is fed from the dis board...
Morning all,
Possibly a simple question But a mix of doctor prescribed medication and post Wembley joy have left my brain elsewhere.
I have a sub DB that needs the supply isolating if a fire is detected (commercial Kitchen) So The 3 phase supply for this DB needs a 4P contactor. Do I size the...
Hi all, had a blocked pump that caused a overload on motor, ocpd went before motor overload. Should the motor overload always discriminate with ocpd and operate first?
The motor overload was set to auto but I don't think it ever operated under fault. Motor draws 6amps under load and the motor...
:welcome::conehead:Why are capacitor used across the contacts of lighting control contactors. I had some trouble with fluorescent lights blinking and found 48 volts coming thru the cap.277 volt circuit. Removed the cap and blinking stopped
Hi
I haven't much experience on this subject so thought id ask!.
I need to choose and set the overload on a circuit contactor containing an overload. It's a 3ph motor rated at 14.1 amp do i set the overload at the same current rating or just above due to the initial inrush?
Hello Forum Members,
I would really appreciate any advice you can offer on this problem. I live in an apartment building in Montenegro. There are a large number of lights around the outside of the building and these are controlled by a timer switch to illuminate the car park and front entrance...
Hi just after a bit of help with a intermentant issue I have with some car park lighting that is controlled by a time clock and 3 contactors.
The contactors are sticking in so the lighting is staying on, ive taken off the load for the lights and the CB for the time clock which resets the...
I have a flat that has Up and Under Heating system. The ceiling heating is fine.
The underfloor heating has not worked for 18 months plus.
There is an outside Pactrol sensor, which feeds into a Pactrol Weather Watcher control unit, which feeds into a Benedikt & Jager K2-23A10 Contactor.

Hi guys, just want a quick sanity check on an installation.
a chap wants 3, 3Kw heaters wired with a programmable thermostat to control all 3 heaters.
my thoughts are:
40A supply to a Contactor ( L-1, N-3)
heaters connected to the contactor ( L-2, N-4)
then a Perm live to the thermostat...
Are the contactor response times significantly different between for each manufacturer?
For certain types of relay logic it's quite critical (drop-out and pick-up time, NO/NC sequence).
Usually NC contacts are disconnected first before NO contacts are connected.
Had to replace 4NO 4NC Siemens...
Hi guys,
after some advice please.
Been asked to install electrics for an underfloor heating system that consists of 3 x 10m2 mats, at a maximum rating of 2400 watts per mat, ran off the one thermostat (max 16amps).
Has anybody ever wired this system using a 40amp contactor?? And if so all...
HI all
First post on here so be gentle!
I want to connect a pir in my garage to switch off my 1.5kw compressor. Would your average home/diy pir do the job.

Hi folks,
Mainly do domestic with a smattering of commercial. Currently repositioning a few extra sockets in a small office and noticed an old Mem contactor still in use. I understand basically what a contactor does but have never used nor fitted them before.
So, got a bit of a head...
Diagram attached shows what I believe could work for a well pump used on a farm. Basically the pump has been burning out and I have found the cause, its because they turn the pump on then forget and the water runs out in the well thus its dry pumping. So i was thinking of introducing this sort...
