Hi, I'm facing a problem with my FLUKE 199C oscilloscope battery which becomes dead very often and the oscilloscope will not turn on anymore even when the power adapter is connected. Is there any way to make it run on the power adapter regardless of the battery condition.
I am new to the forum so Hi to everyone out there! I am also a new DIY Solar PV user and I am looking for some technical advice on an unusual string configuration.
So some prelude before the question: I have been looking at Solar on and off bust its always been too expensive and the FIT's keep...
Does anyone know when this actually comes into force.
Is it from last Thursday or when the VAT man tells us. I phoned them but to no avail.

How do I fill in the sunpath diagram for an unshaded East facing roof?
Thanks.
we installed 4KW Solar world 250W Mono Black system last month using solaredge on a nortj facing roof with a pitch of 45DEg, it faces north-west by 10Deg
So far it has produced 586KWh and has been regularly peaking at 18Kwh/ Day.
I think considering its orientation etc it is exceeding my...
I'm starting to think a PV system just isn't worth investing in for my roof, considering only 9 panels and the roof faces just 18 degrees south of due west.
Another factor seems to be how much of the electricity generated could be used, rather than sold. I'm thinking of it all ways round, but I...

Hi
Anyone experience of the above? I've been offered a package which includes a TL3500 - can anyone confirm as to whether it is twin tracking as I have a split roof - x1 SE facing and the other SW facing and couldn't find evidence of such.

Hi all
I've been avidly reading this forum for the last couple of days.
I'm serious considering a solar pv install 2.9kw 12 panel on a due east facing roof with no shading and a 33 degree pitch.
I am currently awaiting quotes but from the initial surveys and info gathered I believe the cost to...
Hi Guys looking for your thoughts.
Quoting for a job where there the roof I suggested putting 16 x 250w panels is facing 93 degrees east. The customer has had an alternative quote and the installer has suggested splitting system 8 panels east and 8 panels west. The customer asked for my...
my father in law had an array of panels fitted, the inverter had a digital display that showed a flat line that equated to the number of panels he has installed, that flat line has now equated to having 4 of the panels disconnected. The installer has said there is a problem and downloaded the...

I am about to rewire a house but the local council says that the house must generate 10% of it's own energy. The problem is that it's an east/west roof. Can we still use solar panels? also how many would be needed. The house will be sold once it's finished so not too worried about long term...
Hi
I am drawing up a quote for a PV system. The property is a double bay semi detached property with a small dormer rafter pitch at the front, which is the south facing aspect of the roof. Due to the dormer pitch, we can only fit 5 x 195w panels, in a staggered formation, onto this south facing...
