As per photo, I have been issued from a contractor a C2 for 'The MICC/SWA or earth bar cables earth system is incorrectly connected.'
I have 26 metal clad consumer units with this C2 where the earth tag has been fitted with nut & bolt...
Hi, I have bought a Kewtech socket tester for r1 & r2 testing on a megger 1552 but loose connection of the leads into it are giving me unstable readings. The genuine Megger 1552 compatible leads are brand new, as is the Kewtech socket tester. I cannot find a Megger socket tester and am aware...
I thought having one of those socket adaptors that allows you to push your testing leads directly in.
What's the general consensus? Do they conflict with testing resulting
think the one Iv looked at is made by kewtech
I already read the thread on this but the answers didn't help. I need to get my !553 apart and have taken the 4 screws out. The unit will start to part but there appears to be something holding the two halves together at the top. Does anybody know how to open one of these up?
I spoke to Megger...
Evening all,
I've just purchased a Fluke 1654B Mft, and on further inspection I've realized it has been supplied with fused Robin test leads (which after some research is standard for older versions of 1654b, i think????) so not as bothered as i first was. I'm wondering if these leads are still...
Hi,
I have a Fluke MFT 1654B, I have had this one for about 3 1/2 years now, ever since new, when you zero the leads, regardless of if its the blue red or green leads, which ever combination, they always come out at around 0.20 Ohms.
I have periodically had issues over the last 6 months or so...
Hi everyone
I have a question regarding an old tester I have purchased. The tester is a Seaward 500H, quite an old tester I know. My question is how do I test IEC leads and extention leads? It doesn't have a IEC socket so I guess I have to create an adapter?
Any help or advice...
Hi there, I was at a customers premises today following water damage to the lighting circuit. When I put my tester on the supply at the switch and ceiling the voltage is pulsing 120-240. When I test on the sockets the supply is steady at 240. The breaker hasn't tripped, so ice isolated the...
Having problems with my 1651b fluke mft when measuring my ze when i clip the croc clip on earth and touch probes on phase and neutral it shows error 4 straight away without me pressing test. I've tried this at home too on my board same thing is it time for a new tester or leads. every other test...

I've lost a few of the tips off my fluke mft test leads.

Any ideas please.
Cheers
Dave
I bought a brand new fluke 1653b just before Christmas, however I haven't really used it much as its mainly for personal use as I am looking to set up alone in the near future and I use a separate tester at work. When I bought the tester it came with a valid calibration certificate as this was...
I have three beloved AVO meters in my retirement den but have not got any proper leads for any of them.
Can any kind soul out there help please. I will reimburse you properly if you can. I only keep them as a constant reminder of my 45+ years working as an aircraft electrical operative. Hence...
Hi Guys
I very new to the world of sparkys, however I have spent the last 17 years working on Industrial equipment so I'm not entirely green to the concepts.
MY confusion is on the lead ratings for testers.
The probes / croc clips seem to be rated at 600v but the leads are only rated at 300v...
During a moments reflection after last weeks visit to CEF to have a look at the Klein stand. They had several multimeters on show, not MFTs just the normal type Volts, Ohms etc, and before you have a go, yes I forgot to ask the Klein Rep, mind you he probably wouldn't know what I should have...
someone to probably point out the obvious please.
its a few years old and was last calibrated 2013. I have purchased the elecsa test card to avoid paying another £100.00 to calibrate, but i fear its now buggered.
testing on the low ohms range, seems to be all over the place.
join the leads...
Hi
I've got a Fluke 1652 which has the old style "Robin SL" test leads with the clip on fused croc clips/probe.
Unfortunately one of my leads has recently become damaged giving me some wildly inaccurate readings (refuses to zero and if you hold test button down on continuity test and waggle...
Evening all,
About 6/7/8?? months ago I was called to see a elderly client (who I had previously done one or two small jobs for) who's electric awning would not open. It turned out to be the battery in the remote control!! I had to make 2 journeys out to him and buy the 'odd' battery off the...
1720s across the company have developed ****loads of continuity issues over the last couple of years, mine (6-8 months old) has started recently, continuity jumping all over the place etc.
Now, mine was functioning perfectly on a job a couple of days ago, in a sheltered place which was like a...
Hi all, having a bit of an issue with the above meter. I have owned it for about a year now and have recently noticed I am getting a reading a reading of around 9 ohms between the leads. As far as I'm aware there is no way of nulling the leads but I might be missing something? I don't use it for...
