Hi All!
Does anyone know of a brand of RCBO which will fit in place of an old BS3871 Type 2 HB Wylex MCB in a Wylex TPN metal clad Distribution board?
Thanks in advance
I can find them on cpc:
4795.0000. - SCHURTER - REWIREABLE 16A, FREE SOCKET | CPC
But I'd like to have other options available.
I'm looking for what cpc call 'chassis in', male and female, ie plug and socket, and also for power supply leads in a rewireable plug and rewireable socket.

Hi. I am moving a TV from once place in my living room to another. There was a single socket on a 13A switched fused spur which I've disconnected, I'm replacing it with a double socket in the new location, original switch is still in place. I'm using 2.5mm to wire the new spur. I've wired up the...
Hi All

What is stopping someone from using a isolated transformer with a bridge rectifier to give a dc output and feeding it back into the inverter while on economy 7 rates during the night at 7p per kwh then selling it...
I have been asked to test my friends renovated property, fully rewired, and said i'd do it for £100. He is a qualified spark but i did check his 1st fix work to verify his workmanship and all seemed ok to me. It has if i remember - 3 rings, 2 lighting circuits, cooker, smoke alarms, 2nd small...
7.5 kw shower only thorws out cold water and not hot, checked the elements resistance and its nearly 15 ohms which as per ohms law is more that enough.

While doing a test on a new socket install yesterday i did an rcd test as you do, only to have the rcd lever fly off the mem rcd when it tripped, a few bits went in different directions as is always the case. The rcd tested ok but don't want to leave it like this.
I am not that keen on gluing...
Will you still work on a roof if it's icy? Just wondering if anyone had any strategies to deal with early morning frost. Might it be possible to spread salt/grit/sand across the roof surface before going on? Working from roof ladders with a hook over the ridge might be safer but limit...

Hi,
I'm hoping someone might be able to identify this switch and where I might be able to source one.
It's located outside a bathroom and operates the bathroom light and extractor fan. Left to right: light switch, fan switch, fuse (presumably for fan). As you can see the faceplate is damaged...
