Ive just taken on a van through the Napit drive scheme. Im really impressed with it so far. I have a brand new van for £300/month Inc Vat. no deposit and no payment at the end it allows me to do 24k miles a year in it and i get a brand new van every year. Im just wondered if anyone has any...
Is STROMA now owned by Certsure along with NAPIT, NICEIC and ELECSA?
Edit: NAPIT took over Stroma. Certsure operate NICEIC, ELECSA and NICEIC Cerifications.
Somebody did correct me the other day when I got this wrong. But I can't remember whether I was wrong in saying Certsure do own them, or...
Hi guys,
Anyone here Napit registered or has electricians on their own Napit scheme?
I've not too long ago done an EV course all fine, Rolec based.
My question is this; I'm currently debating whether to join NICEIC but, I've a friend i occasionally sub to who had been doing my certificates...
hi guys i spoke to nappit recently after reading their codebreakers book,it said code 2 for all cables which are buried in the wall less than 50mm deep not rcd protected.i then said when doing a eicr i have always coded lighting circuits not rcd protected as code 3, he then said you would have...

Any recommendations?
And Why?
Did half an EICR this morning, finishing it off tomorrow night.
I tried Napit Mobile for the first time. What an annoying counterintuitive process it is. Can't skip between different parts of the form. Filled in the origins section no problem, pressed submit, but then what? I don't know! Does...
Hi folks,
I am trying to decide on the best 18th cert software package. I would like something that has a bit more uumpph than the standard forms.
I have just downloaded the free trial of napit desktop and would appreciate any feedback from others - particularly any negatives.
So far I kinda...
Hi, I need some advice which course I should sign up for? I want to sign up with Napit as EICR qualified electrician.
I want to eventually be able to sign my own work off, complete condition reports, minor work cert. - all domestic side work.

Hi , I am a bit confused on this one.Been asked to test a mobile cafe,(also have 2394 and 5) but am not a member of any of the above bodies, can I do it? and would it be acceptable to the council? Was thinking along the lines of an eicr. Any advice would be greatly received
We do mainly industrial and commercial work with a small bit of (landlord) residential.
After some recent negative comments from potential customers regarding NICEIC electricians I was thinking of jumping ship to ECA or Napit.
OK I know ECA are now the same as NIC but there name doesn't seem...
Westarted an electrical contracting company and the end of 2017 our test of the business. It went well and we used 2 electricians who are NAPIT approved.

No certs
No RCD protection on a number of modified circuits
Mixing different makes of smoke alarms
Cable runs upstairs not in zones with no additional protection
No grommets in back boxes
Fused spur directly behind and above hob
Lengthy spur off ring...
I am really struggling with the section 7 of the Napit Installation Cert.
The reason is because the demo forms I have filled in during the course and examples elsewhere all seem to contradict eachother and it appears many people can't agree either. So by going through forums and looking at...
