Two Auroras 9 years old 3000 and 5000 with 4 strings total. Only 5000 has RISO LOW GIF Red problem. Even after switching strings between 3000 and 5000 the problem remains on the Aurora 5000 and all strings seem to be OK.. Any suggestions what may be wrong with this unit installed in very dry place.
I installed a doorbell where the button to activate it is 70 feet from the chime. I thought 14 gauge would be enough, but when I pressed the button, no chime. I realize what a mistake this was. I've attached a diagram showing the ridiculous distance in number 1. Would it make a difference if I...
Hello from Romania.
I have all the counting ccts, for every number. This is counting to 16 and its the last one this 7493 can count.
I encounter a new and very weird problem. All the [Q] (QA,QB,QC,QD) outputs of the 7493 are not so good at outputting. At least to my components I tested so far...
Hello and Happy New Year.
It's not starting too well for me, excuse pun. Since Friday December 16th, The 2.4l Duratorq diesel won't start, except for twice on Friday December 30th when I got lucky with 'hotwiring' a 3m 4GA gauge battery cable from starter solenoid +ve and solenoid switch...
Just received a £900 electricity bill for an empty flat, the electricity is turned off at the fuse box so I checked the units on the meter. The units are going up 5 units per day, 20 units at night and 50 units stored. I have no storage heaters and I don’t have a hot water tank. I assumed when...
Hi,
My camper has a new 12v battery and I have wired up a split charge relay with a 100 amp blade fuse near van battery and a 100 amp blade fuse after the split charge relay that joins to a pair of 110 amp hour 12 volt leisure batteries wired in parallel. However, between the blade fuse...

This is a side project from my usual thing Im doing right now.
Please watch this movie where I explain and present the problem in a very detailed form.
My conclusion, it is definitely the power wire that is coming from the SMPS. As shown, I made the test with the batteries and is behaving...
Just bought a house where the bathroom fan is not working. Thought it was the switch but realized the black and hot are not working…. Take a look at the pics as I was thrown off. The switch that does work (switch on the right) has two blacks going to it. The switch that doesn’t work has a...
I have a 4 gang Deta Smart Switch installed that has replaced a standard (old fashioned) 4 gang switch that is used to control 4 air conditioning zone dampers.
The Deta switch responds to the wireless app commands turning on / off as commanded or of course when touched manually, however the zone...

Hi all,
(DIY user here)
Wondering if somebody might know anything about why my Sony XAV-AX1000 won't power up on startup.
A little bit of info about the situation:
I purchased this car from a private seller last weekend, who provided photos on the listing of the screen working on the date...
Hello everyone. Thank you in advance for any help you can provide.
I tried installing a dimmer to a 3-way circuit. The dimmer has a hard switch and a dimming slide. After installing and turning the power back on, both the dimmer switch and the other (non-dimming) switch were able to...
Hello everybody
I have a very weird issue with my 2003 sebring (2.7 liter)
It always occurs randomly so i assume it's electrical. Some days the engine runs better/transmission shifts perfectly BUT the instrument panel illumination totally goes. And some other days, instrument lights shine bright...
Doing some testing today on a Wet Room installation.

2 x seperate 50A (for 10.5kw shower) circuits
1 x 20a radial for underfloor heating. This runs direct from CU to a fused spur and then from the fused spur to the UFH controller.
1 x 20a radial...
I have Nanoleaf LED light strips that I need to go around a corner and also bridge a blank space. Nanoleaf is always sold out of the extender wires and the generic ones on Amazon get bad reviews. These specific lights are different than most and have 6 pin connectors. Can I get standard 6...
Hi, I've had my house rewired, and the installation was done very badly. The electrician who was contracted to do it, has now said that he subcontracted the work out to someone who was qualified but not registered. After getting him back to fix a load of issues I then found out that he had also...
Im an apprentice spark and have been sent to look at some bonding work at a restaurant as apparently staff have occasionally been getting shocks when they touch across metal counters. The bonding has been cut in some parts but when i trace it back rather then going to the 3 phase board it has...
I have a recessed can light (Halo H7ICT) that recently stopped working. I checked the breaker, tried a new bulb, and ended up replacing the socket with a new one but none of that worked. I have another light that is on the same circuit I think, same fuse, that is working just fine. I'm wondering...
I was called to a hall where 6 Ansell maintained exit signs were all dead. They were installed 4 yrs ago. The one that I checked had mains live was connected to L andL1 and the battery was flat; this should light a red led to indicate a faulty battery but nothing showing. There is a reset...
