    Not sure how this will help the industry. Why can't they just bring in a national license for competent electricians. Really p****s me off.     How do you get on the register to fit EV points?

    I'm currently fitting EV charging points for someone else, I wondered if anyone knows how to get on the register to be able to fit them myself? As I'm getting a lot less than what I could be getting doing the same work!

    I am looking to upgrade my jib card and I'm wondering if I should be paying for it as I'm employed and on the books ? Also I guess I will have to take the health and safety test ?

    Not really a question but after being told I am on the elecsa/niceic electrical safety register I find the" electric safe"register ,which I thought was the same thing but isn't.So now I have to register on that which I find really annoying.How many more of these "electric safe" things are going...

    Do I need to register a business name?

    I'm registered as a sole trader at the minute and sub contracting to someone else which is going well but just wondering what is the procedure in regards to a business name etc for myself in the future? At the moment the stuff I have from HMRC has my personal name on all correspondence etc...

    Part P register for home extension.

    Hi, A quick question. I am ELECSA registered and just about to register a new extension which is part of the original house. On the online 'Job Details' is this classed as new dwelling? Full rewire, Partial rewire or shall I tick all the boxes for which I have carried out work. Thanks.

    So already we are recieving emails to pay to advertise under the new scheme how long until we have to pay an annual fee to these, because the scams get together and push it through consultations they will all have shares in it and we will be paying them twice per year.

    hi just contacted d.n.o about fitting isolator for a c.u. change for elecsa assessment in my own flat. They said get a registered spark to do the work. then I replied that I need isolator so I can do the work and register. They then said to register with elecsa and then do work. I cant register...

    Out of interest - How would you register the MCS certifcate for an install

    Just wondered how it is possible to register and installation with a variety of panels? For example, with solar edge / micro inverters you can have multiple panels. On my install I have Hyundai and Suntech on different strings but MCS only asks for a single panel type. So how would you do this?
