:gru2::mkungfu::mtongue::mdancing::bananas:Once I was just a member, then I had a nice thing by my name which said Alarm, cctv member , one day I asked if I could have one for the pub and got it, still got the pub one but lost the alarm one, is it because I smell or ugly? Or is it just because...
This is on my list. Still haven't seen it yet it's been on my list for years.
Anybody been lucky enough to see one of them, if so where and how?
I've seen a couple of cruises where they say if you don't see it after a couple of weeks you get your money back.
Don't know if I'm being over critical, with the onset of the 17th IET Regulations the term Competent Person (CP), has been dropped in favour of Skilled Person (SP), yet we still call the schemes NICEIC etc CP Schemes. Should it not be SP Schemes?
I was helping out on a rewire a few months ago, just for pin money you understand, unocupied large country house the buyer had" loads a money" to quote STAVROS.

Hi.
Just a question from a slightly confused trainee about core colours on a three phase appliance.
I was diagnosing a fault on a three-phase saw today (found it - dead isolating transformer) and found that the incoming cable (4 cores) were coloured and connected as such:
L1 Brown
L2 Black...

Looking to get a new combi drill around the £300 range, so many options it's hard to decide what's the best, have a dewalt at the moment but it's a cheaper version and useless, I like the look of the xr range though. Had a Bosch which was decent and have heard good things about Milwaukee.

Well its that time of year again when I await the announcement of the award of my Knighthood but yet again it appears that after over 40 years of Services to Earning a Living in the Building & Maintenance Sector I just didn't make the grade :-(

Hi I have just done first fix wiring in a extension and wanted to put in a two way lighting circuit, the walls have now been plastered and I have noticed that I have used an old 2c + bare earth cable between the two switches . can 2 way switching still be done.

Hi my name is Wendy and I am new to here, I hope you will have patience with me as this could be a long story, I had an ideal logic heat 15 boiler installed just under 2 yrs ago, about 2 month ago it stopped working,(df code showing) I phoned Ideal and they had never heard of me, apparently...
Hi all...advice needed.
I have just replaced a MCB on my girlfriends board...as it was faulty and tripping intermittently. Whilst doing that I decided to 'tidy' up the board as it's a bit of a mishmash with labels and such. Whilst labeling....I went through the whole house finding what MCB fed...

Landing light is not fully switching off when operating the 3 switches on the landing/hallway.
A small voltage (less than 40v) is present between the switched live and neutral.
After trying a new lamp it worked fine.
Any ideas anyone??
I'm going round in circles with this fault. We have 12 street lighting lamp posts at our factory, 150W son lamps in each. They were on a 20A MCB and yesterday started tripping. They are basically wired from a 20A MCB (2.5mm), through a relay, out of the relay in 6mm armoured and then outside...
