Can someone suggest what wire to use to make an LED outside dandelion light

Hello, Thanks for reading. I want to make an improved version of the small solar powered dandelion lights you can purchase as I feel these are too small, and won't work very well in the UK winter months when its not very bright in the daytime. However, I'm stuck on deciding what type of wire...

Please suggest a reasonable quality white euro-module brand

I don't do much data cabling. I fitted recently CAT6 using TLC budget "Kauden" brand euro modules and plates. No problems with the module connectivity, but they were sloppy in the default frames and the frames were really flimsy and nasty sharp cornered thin plastic. I needed a lot of care just...

Can anyone identify this Triac and suggest replacement part?

Hi, This is the control board for a poultry incubator, it regulates temperature by pulsing 240V output to the heater. When it's heating up the heater is on full, when it's in control it pulses on and off. The fault is that it can't get up to temperature, it will control stably to a lower...

Hi guys, got a job that tested out lovely so that's good, my issue is the Cu has been moved previously, the tails (25mm) are in the wall less than 50mm (from incoming to cu) with no rcd protection, I suggested downgrading 100a main fuse to 60a, and running a 16mm swa along the same route...

Which laser level would you suggest?

Morning all. I am going to invest in a laser level as I am getting more and more larger domestic jobs and I am finding it a right pain to go all around the walls with my spirit level. It will be used predominantly for levelling sockets/switches around the room. I have started looking and as...

    Radial Circuit

Recently i have wired a small dwelling house. I have used 2.5 mm Wire for a radial circuit of 2 double and 2 single sockets. (probably the cable length of 35 m) I am a bit conscious to know whether it will work for longer time. or i will need to make it a ring circuit. WHAT DO YOU SUGGEST?

Rewires - what age do you suggest it and is there an age you condemn at ?

I'm tending to favour an approach of time to start smelling the coffee at 30 and start saving / planning and rewire at first convenient oppurtunity but don't let domestic wiring get over 40 (for management purposes) I realise that you can test and still say wiring is "ok" for a lot longer than...
