The lamp’s rated at 4A, so needs two 2A supplies.
Irish sockets....... "to be sure to be sure"
Back up supply just in case.
Something a bit more cunning, like a different phase from each plug?
that might go BANG>
One of the sockets had a broken line output, the other a broken neutral ?
You don't know if the short loop of cable is 3-core connected to the outgoing cable 3-core. … or if the outgoing cable is 4-core.
Same phase no worries
I don't like how the fourth screw slot is at a slightly different angle to the other three.
Being Lucien's post, I just wonder if it has something to do with theatrical lighting & dimmers … ?
Socket on the left is fed in from the back and is separate from the right socket, then using a ‘widow maker’ supplies the circuit extending from the right socket but at the same feeds the standard lamp so that the paramedic can identify the cause of death -
Yeh, I haven’t a clue!
The amount of cracks in that wall - I thought that my phone screen was broken!
2nd circuit is dead ,powered by bodge ?
(a place to add hock monitor current/add dimmer)
... Need answer to is it inherently safe ?..
.. to get a better grasp !.
