Hey up, was doing some testing today and found 15V at some 5 amp lighting sockets even though they where switched off, after testing the hell out of the circuit I realise now this is induced voltage, I've come across this a few times in the past but only ever 1 or 2 V.

The circuit in question is 2 wayed and it seems like its the triple to my other switch thats causing it, all tests are fine on this cable and the rest of the circuit. The triple is approx 7 m in length.

Just never seen an induced voltage as high as this what do you reckon?

ya i've seen about 20v or so to earth

the reading might depend on the meter

i avoid it on controls and data with separation and screening

dunno what the rules are on regular LV final circuits

Don't think it's anything to worry about. If you were to earth one of these I would expect the induced voltage to disappear as there are no real guts behind it.
