I'm looking for venues for 2394 & 2395 In Central Scotland. I know Glasgow Kelvin College does it, but it doesn't suit with dates that I am available.

I've Googled but can't find courses coming up in the next couple of months.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Yeah it is, I was looking at doing a course through one of the members own training centres, but was having to go down to Bradford, Stirling would be perfect for me, where about in Scotland are you?

I'm in Wishaw.

I take it we don't need the latest 17th edition refresher for this course... the 2382-10 is sufficient?

ah ok got you, so will you have to take this first? I'm up to date so I'm ok!

No, I'm up to date. I did the 17th Edition course in August 2009 not long after it came out, and my grade card is 17th edition expiry 2017.

I'm going to book that 2392/5 joint course. It fits with my time onshore and better to get both courses nailed over 5 days rather than 2 separate 5 day courses (although I imagine it'll pretty hefty going with it being both courses).

Sorry did you mean amendment 3 when you said latest 17th course, got you now!

Yeah I think I will look at doing it asap, might go for the September one though will need to work some stuff out!

Yea I meant amendment 3... no way I'm doing that as the 18th edition is no doubt just around the corner.

I'm in the process of booking the September date.

If the exam is failed, how does the resit work... full course again?

Update: Just off the phone to the training guy... apparently the course is over the 5 days, but the exam is later in October when I'm due offshore.

Looks like I won't make it. I didn't realise the exam wouldn't be sat in the same week.

I've just contacted Stow College to see if they do the exam during the 5 day course period. Unfortunately, it will cost more and be 2 * 5 day courses to get both courses done, but I'm governed by my offshore rota.

P.S. I'm glad the training guy mentioned the separate exam date before I paid and forgot about it! Have cancelled the booking...

Update: I'm finding it quite difficult to get information on the actual exam dates. How do C&G expect people to organise time off work to do the course if the exam dates aren't made available?

Is there a reason why exams can't be done on the final day of the course?

Seems a bit bizarre.
