Oh good luck to the pooch hope all is well with your extended family, quick question Tel what batteries do you use for your laser level:rolleyes:

Can we all get back on topic instead of bouncing and rising up off each other, it will only drag the thread off topic and lower the tone, a little appreciation to differing terminologies would help too.
darkwood,
With respect, if he is going to come here and proport to be able to teach, train & advise, then he should use "our" terminology, this is a UK forum, and if you went on a US forum and started talking about doing things correctly instead of the wire fire and leave mentality they have, and the use of wire nuts, and other such stupid devices that are beginning to impinge on our more robust methods of connection, and further more, because of the issues that occur in the NEC world, we may be forced to utilise one of, the, most ridiculous devices known to the electrical world, you would be flamed off the planet.

With all respect net, there are many ways to make a point but when it comes down to mockery and insults then it pulls the thread down and takes it off topic, yes! there may be very different terminologies and standards and that would be a thread in it's own right but this thread was been taken off the topic point and although mild, insults were been given, they bait for a war of words.
There are many ways to skin the preverbial cat to get the same point across, I only stepped in because it was getting off topic and becoming personel.
