Had a long chat with one of the design engineers at our DNO (NEDL) the other day. His opinion was that the whole PV industry is wrong. He's not happy about people connecting all these "generators" up to the grid and says all systems should have to have their consent prior to installation. So I tried to ask him how many 4.0kwp systems he sees go through the g59 route. Not very forth coming I'm afraid, hust told me he had 4000 applications to process. I suspect most systems above 3.68kwp but below 4.0kwp are connected under g83 without their permission.

I am constantly quoting against 4.0kwp systems and struggle to win anything with a 3.6kwp. How is everyone connecting 4.0kwp systems?

Hello

This is a common question to us from installers - and we usually recommend the Eltek Valere 3800 S inverter which is 16A output and in most cases is suitable for upto 4kwp systems. If you need any advice or prices on these, give us a call on 01642 606096 or email help at pvwholesale co uk (with dots and at).

Hope this helps

Sean

Obviously! Now I check the most recent documentation for an inverter I have seen used on 4.0kwp systems it states 20A (others) 16A (g83/1). Definitely didn't say that a year ago.
4.0kwp here we come!
