Money is no substitute for good practice and safety. We're not stupid, OP, we all know that Crabtree is really expensive and Protek really cheap.

to the OP. would you run your ferrari on paraffin?

Thanks but are you inferring that makes such as Protek and Chint don't comply with the BS marked on them if so don't you think these companies would be prosecuted for selling dangerous devices,do you know of any cases where they have been found to be faulty❓

Makes like that are prone to failure and of very poor quality.

But even if you chose a good quality brand like Schneider or MEM it still should not be fitted in to a Crabtree board , it should be Crabtree kit.

that may not be the issue. if you fit a non=crabtree component and there's a fault with the DB unrelated to what you've done, crabtree can disclaim responsibility as you have fitted non-genuine parts in contravention of their instructions.

Just swap the whole lot for ABB and when it goes up in smoke for no reason apart from a obvious manufactures fault on the internal buss bar , they can then take over 8 months and counting to come back with anything other than we will look at it , but it will have been operators error anyway !
So when it comes to mixing makes in the same board , you will definitely be on your own if a fault arises .
