ADT Alarm (won't let me post in Alarm)

Hi Guys,

I need to disconnect a phone line from an ADT alarm system.

Contract is up and customer just wants a bells only system. I imagine once disconnecting a fault will throw up....can this be removed in user functions? Am not keen on crashing and re-programming the whole alarm.

At this point I do not know the make of alarm.

I imagine ADT will just say they need one of there engineers to visit?

It will need to be reprogrammed out of the system, and you will need engineers code for that, which ADT will never give you. Apart from a full reset I cant see another option, unless one of the guys on here know a short cut. Good think for your customer is no more premium rate phone calls.

I presume its all based on how the system has been programmed, but....what will the fault condition be when phone line is disconnected? Will alarm still be functional? Just continued beeping at the control panel?

Am thinking I can disconnect one evening, and if customer agrees will do a full re-programme on a separate occasion.
