Advice on wiring 2 single ovens into an existing double oven wire to fuse box

I have replaced a double oven with a single oven and a microwave/oven combi.
The double oven was on its own wire to the fuse box, 40amp circuit breaker with appropriate cable. Both the new ovens say they are 16amp. Can i use a junction box on the main wire to goto 2 separate switches for each oven?

You should be calling an electrician if you are to perform any alteration to the fixed wiring in your house.

I don't see why not but as Andy states get an electrician to enable a suitable means of connection.

Why do you need switches, at all?

I mean 1-Gang Cooker Switch with LED, i already have one for the first oven and would use another for the microwave/oven combi.
As the circuit wire is 45 amp on a 40amp cb and both ovens together woukd be 32amp (2*16amp) this is why i think it is ok. just after confirmation, if it is ok then dont want the expense of an electrician as its easy to do

The cable is 6.00mm2 twin & earth with a 46amp rating. the circiut breaker states on it 40amp

use existing isolator for both. convert existing cooker outlet to a dual outlet. then supply each appliance from there.

I very much doubt that cable is installed to a method where it will carry 46A.

the cable goes directly to the consumer unit fuse, not sure that there is any othet method!!

Many factors can reduce the current carrying capacity of a cable.

Including
Cable grouped with others
Installation method
Ambient temperature
Cable passing through thermal insulation

And many more

basically what is meant is that although the 6mm cable will carry 46A happily if clipped direct or in free air, this capacity canbe drastically reduced if factors affecting heat loss arfe involved. e.g. if you cover the cable in a foot of itchy-poo insulation, the current capacity will be down to around 25A.

So should be ok !
45A is theoretical capacity
NOT required capacity.
