Do you not have the manufacturers instructions?
Make and model number also helps as well as what sort of central heating system you have installed.

Replying to Midwest, we are men we don't need instructions if it doesn't work we go on the internet to ask other men, if that fails we then dig the instructions out of the bin when the wife/partner isn't looking......... ;o))))) By that time she has installed it and gives you that "smug" look as someone on Mumsnet helped her out.
 
Does anyone else think it strange that on the diagram on the old back plate the NO is shown connected to the NC contact of the relay?
