Hi, I installed a challenger alarm system(probably mistake No.1) in a domestic property and the system included an auto voice dialler.
The entire system works fine except from the auto dialler.. It doesnt call the programmed phone numbers when the alarm is triggered, but as soon as you enter the user code to turn the alarm off it starts ringing..

Any ideas what this could be? Checked all connections and they are as shown on the wiring diagram

How did you connect the dialler is it connected to the bell trigger?
Yes i connected a cable from SET + on dialler to S- on the main panel as it states on the wiring diagram, however on the dialler there is connections SET + and SET- but it says to leave SET- empty?

I would suggest maybe changing it to SET- and see what happens. Depending on the dialler it works on either negative removed or negative applied. The fact that it dials out when you enter the user code suggests you have them mixed round somewhere.

Yes I thought the same so i swapped the trigger wire in the dialler to SET- however as soon as i done this it just triggered the bell box outside as they are both connected in the main panel! I am at a loss right now..

This is also in the instructions however on this diagram it has 2 connections on the SET + and SET -

As opposed to the previous picture with only 1 cable

Looking at the 2 diagrams one shows the dialler powered from the panel and the other from an AC /DC adaptor if the latter is used then the trigger would have no common voltage reference between the dialler and the panel

I just phoned challenger technical support and they said the 0 and 12v connections in the panel should be connected into the terminals on the right hand side of the main panel instead of the auxiliary terminals.

But their wiring diagram clearly shows the aux connections used!
