Hi guys and girls

Have any of you got a way of fitting a door contact on a double glazed PVC door as because of the door edge shaped profile I am struggling to find a way that looks good.

Thanks

you just have to fix as best you can. sometimes it makes a neater job to fit a shock sensor instead.

i use the pvc glue that comes with seperate contact spray, sets instantly and looks clean and tidy (if your carefull with glue) window fitters tend to have it for sticking trims cannot rember name will look in van for it later.

just to add, use because on new window fits screwing the contact to door invalidates the warranty.

I like idea of shock sensor my only problem is that this door is on the promenade and I suspect to wind may set it off at times

Ok will give one ago do you prefer a specific make as never tried one before.

its an aftermarket alarm sensor!! it always looks ugly...! i like recessed sensors personally but they can be a chew..!

as ezzzzz says glue not screws..!

Its a brand new door only fitted yesterday looked at recessed ones but can't due to doors warranty. Going to have a play with it tomorrow and see if I can get it looking ok. If not going to try a shock sensor.
