I customer who I have recently worked for has asked me to test and inspect a simple interlinked smoke/heat alarm system in his house of multiple occupancy, I can test the supply circuit no problem, check functionality with the test button and check for damage, I can produce latent rising heat via a heat gun but not sure about correctly testing a smoke alarm?, I have 2391 ect but not sure if that's enough for this?Cheers Guys

you can get canned smoke from any electrical wholesalers these will trigger the smoke detectors as for the heat detectors i use a hair dryer especially work well with rate of rise ,as long as you fill in the appropriate forms your ok Tysoft do great software which covers fire alarms etc i always use these whan ive installed smoke detectors etc
