Hi everyone,
Done my am2 composite instal today and whilst sitting at home just realised i have not put my compression rings on my SWA.
two questions, is that a straight fail? can i adjust during my test inspect?

just had to drive like a nut nut to screwfix to get a gland pack.
feeling like a right Frank spencer

thanks for any feedback

As far as I'm aware you can't alter anything during the test & inspect section. As for a straight fail, who knows they might not even spot they are missing.

Doubt it'll fail you probably just a mark lost but you only need 60 per cent to pass as far as I'm aware

Thanks Matthewd29,
i am now thinking i have too much of the grey brittle insulation protruding into one of the boxes i have fixed into with the SWA....2inches?

Really stressful day

Doubt you will fail on that alone. On mine I was nattering away to the assessor, or rather the other way round, and I was that distracted I forgot to put the gland on the bit of MI. Still passed.

Oh dear, just don't mention the war  .
I reckon either they won't pick it or it's just a deduction. A safe isolation mistake in your testing would be a lot worse. So, three deep breaths and do your best with what comes next. Good luck mate :)

Just tell him, he'll probably call you a balloon or something similar and not note it as you have already mentioned it.
