called to a job to day where a customer says their emersion heater not working ,gets to the job ,open the cupboard and a nice unvented cylinder .
now this unvented cylinder has not one but two elements feed from a 2.5 cable the old emersion switch ,but wait on why is there two 3kw on..
now 3X2=6kw , the fuse had blown now ,this system wet pants have put in is a pressurised system ,their is no gas but water feed . now a nice new 6mm feed for both elements .and top it all the gas &water needs bonding has well.

Immersion, Buzz....immersion

now the customer says that a nice eastern Europe workers did it .
beginning with the letter P.

Petre? Phillippe? Pablo?

but the best one is a jubilee clip for a bitter earthing .

Bitter? I prefer a good ale.

Out of interest what are the faults
blown fuse 6kw on a 2.5 /15amp bs3036 fuse ,and a crap job ,arrange to go to tomorrow, customer has just rang up .a some relative is a spark is going to sort it out ,good luck to him a nice new flooring down has well ,shame it has to come up ,and not by me, they spent over 5 grand for the job on a new bath room including the cylinder , hay oh.

DPG,
Discharge pipework(D2), wrong material and arrangement doesn't comply with g3.
Control valve, incorrectly plumbed in and height will make future servicing difficult.
Lack of isolator/cylinder drain cock for future servicing.
No support for the pipework and expansion vessel(can only see one clip).
Pipework should be insulated(to hide the poor soldering) to comply with part L.
The rest is Buzz's problem now:p
