Just registered with the TPS because I am sick :cuss: of getting annoying calls at home from automated machines. between 6-10 a day and some days more. just wondered if anyone had any feedback on tps or any other good companies offering a similar service.
hopefully time to :chillpill: now :)

bugger. most of our spam calls are from india. i threatened one last week with sending corporal jones over " they don't like it up em, mr mainwaring"

Don't forget to register with the MPS and FPS!

Downside to the Mail Preference Service is all post addressed to 'The Occupier' gets through and leaflets delivered by royalmail.

When I first got the number I have at home a few years ago I registered with the TPS immediately, to date I have not had any sales or marketing calls other than virginbloodymedia whom I am with.

If I get a cold caller I just put them onto the 4 year old lad who then proceeds to talk a load of ********. Probably doesn't stop them calling again but makes me laugh.

Signed up to TPS years ago for home and all our mobiles. Get the odd call but can "stop them in their" tracks when I mention the TPS. If its an offshore business I simply hang up.

The MPS certainly reduces the pile of rubbish coming through the door.

I registered my mobile with TPS a few years ago and have had about 2 'cold' calls since.
TPS doesn't stop 'warm' calls though, ie companies who you already have services with and/or have given permission to call you.

Given the price you pay for TPS it's well worth doing.

If you cant beat em... join em.. I constantly try to upsell my services untill they get sick and tired of hearing my voice. Kind of like that scene from Austin Powers where Dr evil is talking to his son.. Every time he gets a word in cut him off..

they always love to hear your life story.. lol

If u cant be bothered with them just say u are registered with TPS ... or say u need to answer the door and leave them hanging..

And if you reaaaaaallly dont like them.. Dont ever hang up the fone when they hang up because it jams up their phonelines and their databases. My best mate used to be a telemarketer and told me this.. It works a charm
