Hi

I've hit a bit of a dead end and would like some advice.

How can you applying for a ECS trainee card without being employed?
and how can you get employed to finish your NVQ without and ECS card?

Providing I've completed C&G level 2/3, 17th Edition, Pat, Testing and Inspection and Testing courses.

Thanks
Craig

hi, yeah i think this isn't really very clear when applying for an ECS card in that position. i applied for "electrical labourer" rather than trainee, which is all you need to get you onsite and then it can be upgraded to approved electrician when qualified.

yeah, not listed on the website as a main card, but if you download the application form (it's a standard form) and get to the section where it asks you to put the reference letter for your occupation you can refer to appendix D and put electrical labourer, or actually just seen electrical improver that i'd guess can work as well if you like.
