Hi

I'm hoping that someone can help.

I am adapting some circuits which are supplied via an in line ups. At present, the ups supplies a 72 way db and the final circuits are supplied from the DB. This is a laboratory research environment and it is expensive (about £20k a time) when they experience nuisance tripping. Some of the equipment uses a "roughing" pump and hence B type breakers trip on occasion. Is there a reason why the original installation uses B types? Zs readings are well within for a c or d type upgrade but will I kill the UPS by doing this. The final circuits are al low load (sub 50A).

No install info is available except for schedules. No previous test results are available. The install is in new colours and in generally good condition.

Thanks in advance.
