Just left the office in bits, stomach ache from laughing that much! We're taking on another lad due to extra workload (great times) and i've just sat in on an interview. My manager asks the question 'what's the recommended distance between detection in a corridor less than 1m wide' He shrugged and said 'i don't know, you tell me where they go and i'll have em wired and fixed in minutes' i thought 'fair enough' my manager wasn't so impressed... So he then asked 'do you know what protocol means'. A simple question for anyone working with fire alarms, but he was a spark and was only installing cables and second fixing. His reply caused me and my boss to leave the room, i was crying laughing he was fuming

'listen, i don't know any of that s**t but see that conduit up there... I can bend that round my c**k'

I don't think my boss will take him on but he's made my day with that comment, what a guy

He's probably ---- hot at what he does, I'd have a my team any day for installation work just for the comedy factor.

Your boss was interviewing the wrong person obviously! Not the best interview technique but very funny.

He probably was good, they'd advertised for an electrician with experience using conduit unistrut and the like, so i don't know why they were asking questions about protocol. He'd be quality to work with though, i'd get nowt done through laughing haha
