Discuss BG slides on SPD's and AFDD's in the UK Electrical Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net

I think you must have missed the numerous times dumb, optimistic or funny was used as a dig by murdoch. Perhaps they should all be binned.

Perhaps thats the problem then. I've used the dumb a few times (in response), only after some ---- used it liberally on me. But I don't see it of a particular use on this forum, it just antagonises people.

I've used the dumb icon once or twice when wound up,(and been on the receiving end) but that's not really the right way to respond to a post. In my opinion it would be better if the temptation to use it was removed. Agree with Midwest, it's a means of antagonising and in no way constructive.

To be honest I get really wound up when I get a dumb rating as it’s clearly been used to offend and wind up the member.
It’s quite rude really and an unnecessary icon.

Better not get one after this

imho I think all the ratings should stay and maybe the members develop a culture whereby if a dumb is given its expected that an explanation will be given....wouldn’t take long to spot and ignore the trolls or take offence from anyone that offered no explanation

Not bad I suppose, not a patch on yanet Garcia though the Mexican weather presenter.
