I agree, I still have a 1651 as a spare, only wish it had auto RCD and ramp. Recently replaced my 1502 Megger with a 1720 and very pleased with itThe 1651 maybe basic, but it is more than adequate for the job. Doesn't do phase rotation or RCD ramp, but does everything else. I had one for years, great bit of kit once you get used to it.
Make sure you get all the leads etc, and there should be a mini CD, this has the instruction manual on it, but if it is missing, then you can download one from Fluke FOC.
