Bypassing PIR unit to LED light 7D10E277-0613-4628-B13F-B4991902B418 - EletriciansForums.net

Hi all and good evening,

wonder if anyone out there can help. im looking to bypass this PIR (please see attached photo) unit which goes to an LED external light, so we can just operate the light with the switch.

What wiring configuration would I need, would it be ok to simply connect the live in (LHS) to live out (RHS) so this PIR unit doesnt get powered.

any help much appreciated.

If you need to ask this question I wonder if you should be doing the work, its not difficult, but it does need to be safe, what environment is it in? Your hose or a commercial property?

ok no problem, at my house. I managed to wire it all up successfully through the PIR/mains/switch. just after a bit of advice really

Is the black being used as the neutral (unsleaved) and the grey (brown-sleaved) being used as the switched live?

Nothing in the regs that says it's wrong, but it's totally wrong! (In my opinion)

Waiting for "Old" and "Disagree" comments to roll in :p
