Evening guys.

T&E with plastic capping. Is this ok behind polystyrene plasterboard or does it still require to be tin? Getting conflicting messages from the suppliers.

Regards, chris

Both types of plasterboard will react with with standard PVC cable..
You can use either type of capping to protect the cable.
there is also some non migratory cables on the market that don't react

They changed the chemical makeup of the polystyrene used for building BS insulation purposes many years ago now, because of the plasticizing effect on cables and some types of pvc pipe. It shouldn't now be a problem, though many are still not convinced!!
