I just got told that under 17th you can no longer put cables ties in a DB
As it can cause hot spots in the cable.

I can see the theory,
But it just doesn't sound right,
If it is could someone give me a reg number as I can't find nothing on it....
So I can read up

Cheers

There isn't a regulation as such but it's bad practice to leave the cable ties on once the board had been 'loomed' and terminated, not just with regard to hot spots but for future testing too.

Thanks mate. I always take them off after a few days, just got the impression that the guy meant none at all. Thought it may be a bit harder to get it to look neat lol
