Hi all, I appreciate this has probably been discussed and length previously but would
like some advice on pricing of eicr's on static caravans, I'm only talking about the caravan installation itself (including hook
up lead) the whole site it also to be inspected but this is a seperate job. Thanks of any feed back.

It all depends on the site. When you buy your new/second hand holiday home the site owners will charge you anything upto £1500 siteing fees, of which £150 - £200 will be listed as Electrical safety test. It would be unusual for a static to undergo an EICR annually unless you rented it out and then only to satisfy the insurance and site owners.
Are querying a bill or trying to get some work with a site (most sites will have there own tame sparky). I have 5 statics, 3 of which I rent out and I do the EICR's.
As most older statics only have 2 circuits (ring and lights) the charge on this site is £75 more if it's a lodge.

Trying for some work on a local site, you say it's unusual for a caravan to undergo and EICR? The site owner says he has had many case of RCDS tripping over the last few seasons and to put his mind at rest rather than having to call out an electrician every time, would rather have every van tested to ensure no faults present, and also the entire site distribution circuits tested.
