As a rough guide cards in job 42k a year , van for works use only , hold pay etc
Or same labour only as limited company 42k , 100 mile a week travel
At the end of business year , with good accountant , in which situation would you be better off money wise

You must have sick pay surely...

And as for pension, something is better than nothing
Statuary sick pay only , not sure how much it is but doesn't put food on the table , most companies pay people on salary sick pay but like ours weekly paid cards in people get more or less zilch

Job I've got at min not too but but has its faults , most jobs at least 50 mile away (can be 300 mile) , have to travel an hour for free each way and loose 1 hour for lunch , so working day 12 hrs for 9 hrs pay , so because your wage is based on 44hrs your weekly wage good , but can be doing some long days , suppose all company's has its faults
So sometimes self employed job with work close to home is tempting , specially as manchester is booming at the minute

At 42k per year, 44hrs per week roughly £20per hour, that's pretty decent coin for cards in. But with the travel 60hrs per week roughly £14.5per hour.
I suppose your decision will depend on the amount of hourly uplift if going Ltd.

May be the person to ask would be a good accountant
