Hi guys. Don't expect lots of replies but just a couple will do and help

A bit about me 35 2 kids mortgage bla bla

Looking at changing from public sector to become a spark

I currently earn around 50k that's including overtime. Is it worth me changing or will it take far to long to train?

ANY advice would be brilliant

Thanks

as pete says, stay put. top sparks earn a lot less than 50K, unless running a successful own company with all the risks involved. if you look at job adverts, rare to see any offering over 30K for fully qualified electricians.

only people who quote a 50K salary are the goons that take 6K off you for a 5 week "boil in the bag sparks" course.

Stay put! no offence but its a young mans game, once you have endured the apprenticeship your body is half knackered anyway. At 50k your laughing anyway, its all cheap and quick these days. Just bite your tongue and dance for your master!
