Hi,
Hope you all had a good day.

The meter is economy 7 and comes on at 730 to midnight but the customer wants panel convector so he can put them on and off when he wishes. Would he have to get his meter changed so he can use the panel convector heaters in the day?

sorry if its a stupid question.

Thanks

Does an air2air heat pump work ? It will be around 1/4 of the price to run, temperature is very well regulated, and can be used for air conditioning in the heat of summer too...

Depending on the method of supply it is possible that the supply cables for the heaters could be transferred over to the 24Hr supply and this would allow them to use the heaters at any time.
However the cost of daytime electricity on an E7 tariff is higher than when not on an E7 tariff so it would cost more to do this.
Changing the tariff to standard rate electricity would be advisable.

I would suggest you disconnect the circuit from economy 7 and connect the circuit inside the dist board (24hr) providing you have spare ways.

You used to be able to get a storage heater with a convect strapped to the front, no idea if they are still available. Obviously they need 2 supplies though so would require additional wiring works. E7 feed for storage heater and 24h for convector. If they deffo want rid of storage heater setup then as mentioned above, advise them to change tariff. Heatning during the day by electric can turn out costly.
